The kwaCeza Forest Caves.
is located in kwaCeza Reserve under Ulundi Municipality, which is 35 kilometres away from museum and original site of King Cetshwayo’s homestead at Ondini. The project was started as a result of the bigger initiative to grow the tourism industry within the Ulundi Municipality area. Ulundi Municiplality is situated where a lot of Zulu history happened from the birth of King Shaka and the rise of th Zulu Kingdom colonial resistance that made history to the defeat of the Zulu Kingdom. This particular site is a natural cave with a natural spring of fresh water flowing all year round, even during droughts. King Dinizulu, one of the Zulu Kings, hid himself there with warriors for almost two years and the British soldiers could not get there even with guns and artillery at their disposal. It was natural defense.
